Service Times & Styles

Linworth offers two unique worship experiences on Sunday mornings. Each service has its own personality and style.

Traditional Worship

9:00am Sunday Mornings

Our traditional worship service is rooted in the rich history and traditions of the United Methodist denomination and of the Christian church. It features classic hymns, traditional liturgy, and a formal structure that invites contemplation and reverence.

Music is led by our Chancel Choir accompanied most commonly by piano or pipe organ. Our Reverberation Ringers handbell choir performs regularly as well. Services often feature additional string, brass, and woodwind performances or accompaniment throughout the year.

Contemporary Worship

10:30am Sunday Mornings

Our contemporary worship service is designed to engage a diverse and modern congregation. It features contemporary music, informal and interactive elements, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages participation and connection.

Music is led by our Worship Band and includes drums, keyboards, acoustic & electric guitars, and layered harmonies on top of vocal melodies. Our music selection is meant to be engaging and accessible, allowing anyone to join along in singing together as they are comfortable.

Sunday Children's Ministry

Where do I park and enter the building?

Plenty of parking is available on both the east and south sides of the building and first time visitors are invited to park in specially designated spots on both sides of the building. Come in any door; worship services are held on the north side of the building in the large octangular room behind the big glass doors.

What Should I Wear?

We invite you to dress as you feel comfortable.  You will observe suits and ties, and casual dress clothes at our traditional services and jeans, shorts, and casual dress clothes at our contemporary service.

Are There Activities For Kids During Worship?

Children are always welcome in our worship services with our families.

Our Nursery is open during all services for children (Birth – Age 3).

Linworth Kids is offered during our 10:30am service. Preschoolers & Kindergarteners can be dropped off before service. 1st through 6th Graders begin in the Worship Center alongside their families and are invited to go to Sunday School following a Children’s Moment early in the service.

How Long Are Worship Services?

All of our worship services last approximately 60 minutes.

Will I Need To Give Money During The Offering?

Although we do receive an offering during each service, guests should never feel that we expect them to give. Our worship service is our gift to you, so just pass the plate or basket on by and enjoy the service.

Do I Need To Be a Member to Participate?

No, although we encourage membership and commitment to follow Jesus. All members and regular attendees are encouraged to participate in one of the many ministries and service opportunities offered at Linworth.

How Do I Join Linworth?

We offer a 4-week class called Discover Linworth a few times throughout the year. During this time you will learn about our history, beliefs, ministries, and how to connect in community with one another.

Watch the church calendar for Discover Linworth or reach out to any of our staff to find out when the next class will be offered.

Accessibility

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of our community. Our church facilities are equipped with various accessibility options, such as wheelchair ramps, powered entry doors, elevator access, accessible parking spots, and accessible restrooms.

Additionally, we offer assistive listening devices to help those with hearing impairments to fully participate in our worship services.

We have senosry bags that have many tools to help support you in worship, including noise-cancelling headphones and a variety of fidgets. These bags can be found on the table right before you enter the Worship Center.

If you have specific accessibility needs or requests, please contact our church office, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
