Austin

Austin was born and raised in Powell, Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, where he earned his B.M. in Music Education in 2021. After graduation, he accepted a position at GameU, an online education program that specializes in teaching students of all ages and abilities valuable STEAM skills, including coding, digital art, and more. He currently serves as an Operations Manager, working to improve the quality and efficiency of GameU’s services as they reach students across the country.

Austin has been a lifelong member of Linworth UMC and has spent nearly half of that time as a member of the Chancel Choir. Through the choir, he discovered his love of choral music and found a deep connection with his faith. Linworth’s choir is a community he loves dearly, in no small part because he gets to sing alongside his mom, Karen Wood, and his grandparents, Bob and Nancy Belt.

Austin currently resides in Delaware with his cats, Rosemary and Sage. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, running, playing video games, and repairing electronics. He is excited to join the team as Director of Traditional Music and looks forward to serving the community that has poured so much into him throughout his life.
