Hilary Apfelstadt, Music Director for traditional worship, is Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Music at the Ohio State University. She conducts the Chorale, the Women's Glee Club, coordinates the graduate conducting program and teaches several courses in conducting and choral music. A native of Canada, and daughter of a United Church of Canada minister, she taught public school and university there
before coming to the U.S. to earn her doctorate. She is a frequent clinician and guest conductor, having worked with choirs in the U.S., Canada, Cuba and England. For several years, she sang with the Robert Shaw Singers in France and in New York City. She is active in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and has held several offices, both elected and appointed.
