Building Nesters is a spiritual, social and service oriented group for couples with young children. Join us on July 17 at 6:30 p.m. We are meeting at Graeter’s on Bethel Road. On July 5 at 1:00 p.m., we will be doing Meals on Wheels.

Closer Walk Class: Contact: Janet Blocher
The Closer Walk Class continues to meet during the summer months on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in room 225. This is a lively discussion based group. The group is currently reading "Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell, the pastor of Mars Hill Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When Rob Bell started Mars Hill, 1,000 people showed up the very first week! When the book is finished, the group will use some of Rob Bell's video lessons as a basis for discussion. If you are looking to meet some great people at Linworth and strengthen your "walk," the Closer Walk class is the place for you!

For fun and fellowship, join Dining Disciples. Groups of singles and married couples meet in homes, or restaurants for a meal about 4 times a year. What a great way to get to know each other. To sign up, call a contact.

First Fridays are taking the months of July and August as vacation. Watch bulletins and Links for the meeting date in September.

Hand and Foot Card Club: Contact: Jean Balser
They will be meeting on Friday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. Join this fun bunch for an evening of fellowship and laughter while playing cards. Bring a snack to share.

Impact is a service group that meets with residents at Claremont Retirement Village. Join them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 9 & 23.

Ladies - you are welcome to "In Daily Places," a small group opportunity for study, prayer and fellowship for women of all ages. We meet 2nd and 4th Mondays, usually in the church Library at 7:00 p.m. We have just begun a study on "How Can I Let Go If I Don't Know I'm Holding On?" by Linda Douty. Our next meeting is Monday, June 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Debby Fuller for a potluck. Call Debby if you have questions.

MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers): Contacts: Holly Meister & Carri Clark
MOPS is a Christian group of mothers with children ages infant through kindergarten. MOPS continues through the summer with PLAYDATES on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. Meet July 14 & 28 at Worthington Recreation Center on Wilson Bridge Rd. Shaded playground and bathrooms. Bring a picnic lunch. MOPS is also having MOMS NIGHT OUT on Tuesday, July 22, 6:30 p.m. Meet at Digger & Fitch to hit some golf balls & have dinner with friends. Sunday Morning Women’s Bible Study:

We pray for our own needs and for the needs of others. We pray in the face of conflict and we pray for forgiveness. In their new study they will learn from biblical examples, such as Mary, Abraham, Moses, and Daniel, gaining new insights and experiences in the “Adventure of Prayer.” Join them in room 210 at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, and be a part of the wonderful discussion and fellowship!

Thursday Morning Bible Study:

Group meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. They are now studying the book “Against the Grain” by Ray Waddle with his expansion on the unconventional wisdom in the book of Ecclesiastes. Leadership of this class is shared by the members (in the absence of their regular leader, Lillian Payne). Visitors always welcome!

Other Opportunities

Linworth Children's Center (LCC), an Educational Ministry of Linworth United Methodist Church:
LCC is a high quality early childhood program serving children 6 weeks through full day Kindergarten. For more information about the programs contact the LCC Office at (614) 336-9559 or Cathi Staysniak at cstaysniak@linworthumc.org , or check out the Linworth Children's Center page.

Children's Music:
Musical opportunities are available for children, preschool - sixth grade. Lori Walls is our Children's Choir Director. Preschool-Kindergarten sing on Sunday mornings in their Sunday School class. First - sixth grades practice in room 208 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Boy Scouts:
The Scouts meet weekly on Monday evenings beginning at 6:45 P.M. For more information about the Scouting Program at Linworth United Methodist Church contact the church office at (614) 336-8485.

Acolytes:
Boys and girls in grades 4 through 6 are instructed in the task of acolyte in worship. They are called "God's Lamplighters". Please call the church office (614-336-8485) to find out about this program.
