Paper Recycling Drive
Many of you faithfully use the Linworth recycling bin. You tote newspapers, magazines, and used computer paper from home and from work. We thank you for that effort. Abitibi Bowater has challenged us to increase our paper recycling.
If we recycle 20% more paper than we did last year during the 4 months (May 2008 - August 2008) of the program period, we can earn a bonus of $500. If we recycle 25% more paper during this time period, we will earn a bonus of $1,000.
So the recycling goals for May through August are: 32.51 tons ( 65,020 lbs.) for $500. 33.86 tons ( 67,720 lbs.) for $1,000.

LUMC Goes Green
After last month's service we should all have ideas on how to go green. What are you willing to do to help tend God's garden?
Start by recycling items you bring to church with you. Say you bring a bottle of water to a meeting, when you finish it, recycle it in a green bin. Or if you bring a canned soda, recycle it in a green bin too.
Green bins are for plastic bottles, cans, glass jars and bottles, paper bages, cardboard, empty milk cartons, paper cups.
Blue bins are for bulletins, white and colored paper, flyers, notebook paper, newspaper, almost anything that tears white. This paper goes towards raising funds for the Mission Team projects.
You can always bring your paper from home to recyle in the dumpsters located on the parking lot near the woods.
How are you going to Go Green?
